It’s late on Sunday evening, and we have just got back from the Sandskater British Skimboarding Championships at Sennen Cove in Cornwall.
A great turnout, some big waves (sometimes too big) and a fantastic atmosphere has made this Skim UK organised event go down in history as the 1st ever skimboarding contest in the United Kingdom.
It was a closely fought battle in both age divisions, and we are pleased to announce the very first British National Skimboarding Champions are:
- Junior division: (under 16) Ned Weight from Newquay
- Senior Division: (16 & over) Simon English from Guernsey
Well done to everybody that competed and skimmed fearlessly in the sometimes huge conditions. Thanks for supporting the sport.
