This weekend sees the final round of the European Skimboarding League come to British shores.
Throughout 2009 events have been held in Spain, Portugal and France, and the last round comes to Tolcarne Beach in Newquay this weekend. (17/18 October 2009)
The prize for the tour winner is a trip to South America to compete in a skimboarding event in either Chile or Brazil, so there is a lot at stake.
The European Skimboard League (ESL) has been brought about by skimboarders from Spain, Portugal, France and Britain. In unprecedented co-operation between the different countries, they have come together to make the first year of the ESL a sucess.
Equally, there has been some very hard work behind the scenes by a group of highly committed UK skimboarders to make this the UK event come together, in what will be the biggest skimboarding contest that the UK has ever seen.
