UK SKIM FEST 2007
THIS WEEKEND - 22/23 SEPTEMBER
Yeah, it’s that time of year again, we are busy preparing for this years UK Skim Fest, which is proudly brought to you by Sandskater, Zap Skimboards and Circle One.
So lets run over the plans for this weekend…….
Saturday 22 September
Kick off time: 10am
High tide: 2.40pm
Prize Draw: 2pm
Tides are near perfect, so you’ll be able to skim during the incoming tide in the morning, and also in the afternoon when it starts to drop back. Some skimboarding demos from the Sandskater team, and Zap pro rider Mega will be held throughout the day. Feel free to ask for advice, because the team and Mega will be on hand to answer your questions!
Saturday Evening:
We are *hoping* to show a few skim dvd’s on a big screen on Saturday evening, and we’ll combine this with the AGM of Skim UK - the UK’s skimboarding association. Most people tend to congrgate around the bar on the sea front and also in the camping field - so come along and say hi.
Sunday 23rd September
Kick off time: 10-11am
High tide: 4.10pm
Prize Draw: 2pm
Sunday is a similar set up to Saturday, just with a slightly later high tide. This will mean the will be plenty of flatland skimming at low tide, while those seeking out waves will be score them during the afternoon, early evening.
Camping
Camping will be available in the same field as last year, but this year will be charged at around £5 per person per night. The eaxct amount will be determined by the farmer, but £5 is the guideline amount we have been given.
Shop Closed
Because of the Skim Fest, the Sandskater shop will be closed on:
Friday 21st September
Saturday 22nd September
Monday 24th September
Tuesday 25th September
See you there!
If you want any more information, give us a call on 08452 037546. See you on Saturday!

“Camping will be available in the same field as last year…”
sorry i was not there last year - so where do i find this field?? - is it very obvious? if it is then its cool - could u tell me the name or rough location of the field - ?
cool - see u there

Your best bet is to head down to the main beach area, and ask somebody for directions to the camping field. It is easy to find when you are there - but difficult to explain over the net.
