Skimboard International Results

We have arrived back from the Skimboard International contest in Hossegor and normal service is now resumed!

It was an awesome trip for everybody involved and the standard of European skimboarding is going through the roof this year.

So, lets have the results:

Open Contest: (49 Competitors)

Junior Contest: (18 Competitors)
1st Fabio Gomes

Sandskater team riders Adam & Mark did well in the junior division, and missed out advancing to the next round by just half a point each. It ended up with Mark in 9th postion, and Adam in 10th, which is a great effort out of 18 juniors.

Interestingly, Mark's points total was the 3rd highest out of all the junior competitors, but the format was for the top 2 from each heat to advance, so unfortunatly he missed out advancing!

As for the weather - it was hot - and atmosphere was great. The waves were perfect for the contest, and the final was something special to watch, with 4 of Europes top skimboarders producing some awesome rides that thrilled the huge crowd that gathered on the beach.

We have even created a gallery for Burt the Sandskater Husky dog who comes on all our travels with us!
