Returns & Refunds - our commitment to you:

Here at Sandskater, we want you be 110% happy with your purchase and our service. We don't like having unhappy customers, so if it turns out you are in any way unhappy with the goods you have received from us you can return them for a replacement or a full refund of the purchase price.

All goods must be returned to us within 7 days of receipt and at your own expense. Sorry, but we cannot offer a refund on video's, book's or magazines. The returned goods must be in a perfect re-saleable condition, and in their original packaging, with any swing tags, barcodes or labels still attached.

Please note: We strongly recommend you use a recorded/insured delivery service as we regret that we cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit. It is also a good idea to include a return address on the parcel, so if the goods do get lost, they can be returned to you.

In addition to the above, under the new European Directive on distance selling, you are entitled to cancel your order without giving a reason. This must be done within 7 working days, beginning on the day after the day on which you receive your order. A full refund will be provided within 30 days of cancellation.

Return Instructions

  1. Important: Please telephone us first, (08452 037546) to let us know you want to return the item(s), so we know to expect it and to authorise its return. All items, including any free incentives, should be returned in perfect re-saleable condition, and in their original packaging. Missing free incentives will be charged for at their normal selling price. Sorry, but we cannot offer a refund on video's, book's or magazines.

  2. Please include a copy of the original invoice/receipt. This includes your customer details which will help us deal with your request faster.

  3. Return postage is at the expense of the customer. However return postage costs will be refunded on orders where a mistake has been made on our behalf. Reimbursements for return postage will be limited to the amount you were originally charged for delivery by us.

  4. If possible, please include a brief letter of explanation to let us know why you are returning the item/s. If you require a replacement please state your choice clearly and include your card details or payment for delivery postage. Make sure you include your name & address.

  5. All returns are to be sent to:

Boards damaged in transit:

All boards are inspected for dings and dents before they are boxed and shipped out, and we take care to package all boards in a way that should prevent damage during transit. Sometimes boards have flaws in them from the manufacturing process and these flaws are not considered damaged/defective, it's just part of the process.

If, when you open the box, your board has a ding or dent here's what you do:

  1. Contact Sandskater immediately to get a return authorisation:

    No returns will be accepted without one. You must inform us WITHIN 24 HOURS of the goods being received, it is very important that we receive your call within this time frame, if we are to make a claim on the Business Post insurance. If nobody is available to take your call, leave your name and number and we will call you back.

  2. The board must be returned in the same box in which it was received AND all the packing materials must be kept. It must be returned by the same shipper that delivered it (Business Post/DHL/TNT). Doing otherwise will void the shipping insurance and will leave you with no recourse.

  3. Once you contact us, we will call the shipper and tell them to pick the board up. They will want the entire package - box, packing materials, and of course, the board. They will inspect the board and a decision will be made by them. (Sandskater has no influence over this decision)

  4. If it is determined that your board was damaged in shipping, then we'll send you a replacement straight away.

  5. If it turns out that your claim is denied by the shipper (and they are the final authority), then we will work with you to achieve a satisfactory outcome we are both happy with

Stock Levels

We aim only to display items, which are in stock and can be dispatched quickly. If we are unable to supply a particular item which you have ordered, or if the correct price for an item is different from the price on your order, we will notify you as soon as we can after receiving your order. If this happens, you may cancel your order and we will refund any money you have paid.

Prices

All prices quoted on this website are in British Pounds Sterling and exclude postage and packing. The €uro and US dollar prices quoted on this website are meant as guide and all orders will be charged in British Pounds Sterling at the rate offered to you by your card company at the time of the transaction. We try to make sure that the prices on our website are accurate however, we will need to validate the price before we process your order.

VAT : Value Added Tax

All prices in on this website include VAT at 17.5%. Customers in other EC countries will be charged VAT at the current UK rate above. Customers in the Channel Islands or outside of the EU will be charged VAT at 0%.

Customs outside the EU

When shipping outside the EU, customers may be liable for local import duty or taxes which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional duty, tax or charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Colours

Whilst every effort has been made to capture the true likeness of the product colours,  we cannot guarantee the exact colour pictured.

Videos

Some VHS videos we sell are in VHS NTSC format. Please check that your video recorder can play this format before ordering. Most modern video recorders should be able to play NTSC videos. It should tell you in the instruction manual for your machine if it is "NTSC playback compatible"

Complaints

If you have any complaints about our service or any products you have bought from us, please feel free to contact us We will endeavor to respond to your complaint within 2 working days. Complaints are normally resolved within 10 working days. You will be kept updated on progress of the complaint via email or phone, or if you would prefer updates in writing, this can also be arranged.

We may change or withdraw any part of our website, or may refuse you access to the website at any time if we consider it necessary. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the courts of England and Wales.
